Great hard drive great price.
By the description and the specifications it should be a very good hard drive. Easy setup for me I have a tool less installation setup in my PC so I just snapped it in the holder and plugged it in. Make sure you have or purchase a SATA data cable for this drive as it is a bare drive only.
Is what it Is
- Mech drive, probably the last one I'll ever buy. - Got it so my wife has plenty of space to save w/e she wants when she uses my computer - If you don't need a cheap 1TB, then I would just get a 500gb SSD of some sort
I never thought I'd be leaving a not-so-good review for a Western Digital hard drive. I've favored WD drives for many years. A hard drive has to work reliably or it's completely useless. So I don't give super high marks for the device just doing its job. The drive is working.
Bought three of these
Excellent hard drive. Very dependable. I recently upgraded my Mac Pro 2009 with this hard drive and no matter how many files I put on it I still have room more. The second one is for a computer hard drive upgrade for one of neighbors looking for more hard drive space. Can't beat the price.
Great Storage Drive
I intend to use this as a storage drive once I upgrade to a SSD. I have installed an OS (testing out different hardware setups) several times with no issues with from HD. This is a great budget hard drive.
