Most relevant
The additional features this provides over your typical cheap google cardboard-esque headsets is totally worth it. The headset does a phenomenal job with head tracking, and if you also buy the gear VR controller, you're in for a very enjoyable VR experience.
I used this for the HTC Vive upgrade of lenses. The lenses in this model were not perfectly made so I am ordering another one in hopes they are higher quality. Most people don't have issues with these lenses so I probably got a bunk one. I can't return of course since 99% of its in the garbage!
Definitely a decent taste of VR. There is really no way at this price point to compete vs a full-blown system. Using my S6 (and an additional cooling fan) it works without issue. Without getting into software limitations it works pretty well. A bit of light leakage is the only physical gripe.
Way better quality VR than I expected. I own the oculus and PS4VR and using a S7 the image quality was right up there with my other VR devices. I got this for media rather than for gaming, so I don't know how well it stands up in that area. But for the price I was extremely impressed.
Works as intended. Slightly heavy which makes it uncomfortable for some users, and for some reason the device cannot be recalibrated for use while lying down. Also, beware that this does NOT include a USB type C adapter for newer Samsung phones, but it is compatible if the adapter is purchased...
