Its not terribly complicated and yes it is repetitive. My boy is 5 and this is his first time on a gaming system. He only has to use the joystick and the X button for 90% of the game and then the other shape buttons the rest of the time when the game gives him a choice to make.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this game. On one hand, it’s great for young beginners. It teaches commonly used controls (ex: double jump) with very specific guidance given. It also teaches and encourages the gamer to search for incentives in less expected places.

This game is perfect for a young child around the age of 3 years old to probably 5 or 6 years old. It's is very simple nothing hard about it at all. I got it for my almost 3 year old her biggest issue playing is probably her hands are to small compared to the controller.

My soon-to-be 5 year old loves this game. I’d say it’s perfect for 3-5 year olds just starting to learn game consoles. The boy from the show walks you through what to do the entire game. You get to play as the different pups to solve missions.

My kids love paw patrol but are not very interested in this game. They are almost 4 and can play it. There just is not much variety in each level, your constantly jumping on and over bundles of wood. My kids hate the idea that you can only go left or right.
