Most relevant
Summary: snapbridge updates the D3400 with location data only about every 10-minutes, making the D3400 quite poor at geotagging photos. I used the D3300 primarily as a travel camera. I would run the Gaia GPS app on my phone, and after the trip, transfer the resulting .GPX file to my mac.
No built in wifi
It says it comes with built in wifi but it doesnt, some newer cameras have a button older ones you can find wifi in setup menu. Nowhere in the entire menu can you find wifi which prevents me from snapping pictures with the nikon apps. Very disaapointed for what it costs.
Great camera!
I bought this for my girlfriend and now all she wants to do is take photos she started taking amazing photos within a couple of days, and anywhere we go the camera comes with. The auto settings on the camera work great but you can add a lot of personality and a lot better quality with manual.
Positives: a physically small and light dslr capable of beautiful photos. Although it is aimed at beginners it suits more experienced users who are looking for a simple camera without too many menu options.
