ThinkPad for Windows or Mac if not Windows person
We had two Dell and one Asus notebooks years ago. They are all good note book. In last 2 years, we replaced all of them with ThinkPad X1 Extreme, ThinkPad E590 and recently ThinkPad T590. That tells how good they are from our experience. I am using notebook more than 10 hours every day.

Love it like a nice pair of bluejeans.
Nice Laptop. Big screen, full keyboard, plenty fast, not too heavy, nice and thin, uses the USB-C for charging, supports 3 external monitors AND the main (4 total displays! using an external USB-C Expansion dock, and the HDMI output). A great value for the price. Can't beat it.

Setup as a dual booting Linux /Windows 10 laptop
This is my 3rd Thinkpad laptop over 12 years (and the other two still work). I prefer Lenovo's T series laptops for their durability and relative ease to install Linux as a 2nd OS. The SSD on the T590 makes for a very quiet and fast booting machine. The unit is lighter and slimmer than my old T530.

A Worthy Successor
Eight years ago, I got a T530. As a very active college student, it served me well. When it came to buy a new computer, I turned to Lenovo again. I picked this one because it had a lot of the specs I preferred. The main disappointment is that it doesn't have a disk drive, but I'll live.
