We have a larger speaker, and a Clip, bought this one to round out our choices, and also because it had a place to charge your phone which we need camping sometimes. I only gave it 4 stars because it would be nice if it had a shoulder strap like the larger one, or at least a place to clip one on,...

I like jbl. I previously owned the Charge 4. The battery lasted longer on the 4 than the 5. Also you HAVE to use Bluetooth on the Charge 5. I missed the option of using the wired input rather than HAVING to use Bluetooth. The battery lasts longer using the wired input.

I am blown away by the quality of this speaker, I work in a restaurant and we use my speaker for music every night, 2 days ago my speaker fell in the fryer that was at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. We pulled it out and the speaker still works perfectly fine. This is by far the best speaker I've ever used

Wow, what a great buy. Have no regrets...used one on set the black one...but I decided on the Green when I got mine...has red thread in the green mesh, looks amazing and sounds even better... I would recommend this product because of the quality of the sound and value for money..

All things considered, this relatively small speaker sounds great. Get the JBL app to keep the software current. There is also an equalizer on the app. Despite its size, there is a certain 'tightness' to the bass. No it's not equivalent to a large tower speaker, but all things considered, not bad.
