great laser monochrome printer
great all-in-one laser printer. love the print from usb and scan to usb feature.
very fast. wireless works great too. no HP apps needed on windows 11, macos, or iphones. I can print from all of them without any issues wirelessly without installing any HP apps.
Smooth set up and good looking
Had to replace a beloved HP laser 400 which stopped working all of a sudden. M227 has scanning function in addition to laser printing, which was very important to me. Scanner works well and software for that is seamless. Set up was the simplest hp set up I've ever had.
Beware of Limitations
Two disappointments: 1) no direct scan-to-computer capability even though it's a menu item on the touch screen 2) double-sided capability is for printing only, not copying Very happy with the tech support except that I spent over an hour chatting only to learn in the end of the two limitations...
NIce
I have now purchased three of theses for my office where it makes better since to buy a networkable printer than pay for the milage of the employee's walking back and forth too many times daily. Scanning feature is great for this and that, pluss you can put the file anywhere on your LAN.
Finally, I made a good choice for a Laser printer
I read so many reviews that my head hurt and as a Mac user I narrowed it down to this one, one Canon Imageclass and a Brother with similar capabilities. I wanted Ethernet, wireless, copy/scan, duplexing and a good price per page.
