Crooked hinge right out of the box
The laptop overall is good. The glaring issue with it was that it has a crooked hinge. Apparently this is not uncommon for these models from HP. While my hinge issue doesn't stop the laptop from performing, it is rather maddening. HP made the Envy to have a nice aesthetic to it.
Hinges
Hinges are problem after couple of years usage and the touch screen will get broken. You have to replace the entire set
Best purchase
I had a HP Envy and it lasted over 8 years - until the actual physical hard drive fell out - yes, fell out after a second cup of coffee landed in it. I believe this one will be just as good. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and the addition of the stylus is so helpful for those rough RA days.
Rip-off
I bought two of these 2 years apart and both are no longer working. They show black screen and even HP failed to troubleshoot. They asked me to send back the laptops for repair at a cost of £441 each. I bought a Toshiba in 2012, it is still working.
Screen Cracks.
Its screen surely cracks from hinge without any reason. It evident from online discussions on the issue.
