This has been an extremely reliable piece of hardware. I originally put 25 in my environment, and 22 are still running without issue to this day! Very easy to upgrade ram and replace hard drives as well.
In a business environment, if you have more than 5 of these, they become a disaster. We’ve had to replace the hard drives in these after about 6 months and lately the images Dell uses are having issues with GPOs. Invest in Latitudes… they are much better.
We use these as our work horse laptops. We lug them from trade show to trade show and they have held up well to the abuse. They get re-imaged time and again and even after a couple years they still don’t show any signs of tiring.
We purchased 55 of these notebooks in the Flat Grey for our business and are very impressed with them. (i3-350, 3 GB Ram, Win 7 Pro, 250 Gb HD, Webcam) Performance: The Core i3-350 Process is very fast (faster than the Core 2 Duo 8600 in my XPS 16) and the overall experience is excellent.
Excellent product. Robust, reliable, sharp lcd, soft keyboard, powerfull hardware with a beautifull design. Sound system is a very weak point, IMHO, but nothing so worrying, as it was made for work purposes, not entertainment.
