While Braun has always been a respected company the Multi Quick 5 Vario Hand Blender has a design problem in as much as the recessed buttons that release the tools take too much pressure to make the tools actually release. I also found the unit heavier than was comfortable for me to use with ease.

Works great......food processing cup blade nope!!
I have used the stick blender to make soup and it works great. But when I use the cup food is processing is great but the clean up not so much. The shaft of the cup blade is hollow, looks unfinished and allows food to get deep inside. It is impossible to clean.

I make protein shake smoothies at least once a day and the MQ537 does a great job with the ice cubes, is super easy to handle, and super easy to clean up. I like how I can detach the motor while leaving the business end in the container to remove over the sink. It’s lightweight and powerful.

I usually use a full normal blender but thought it would be nice to have something like this for quickness and something that doesn't take much space. I was actually surprised at how well it blends. I will still prefer a normal blender for larger jobs, but this is a nice option for small quick jobs.

This is the answer
I'm an Italian who loves to be in the kitchen. I also grow San Marzano tomatoes for making sauce, especially for use on pizza. In the past, I would use a regular blender to chop the tomatoes but they were usually over-chopped into a more watery sauce base. Also, cleaning the blender was a challenge.
