A Definitive Ace Combat Experience
Whether you are new to the Ace Combat series or you’re a Veteran Ace Ace Combat 7 will scratch the combat flying itch you’ve got. Pair a flight stick with the PSVR system and you’ve got one of the most immersive flying experiences you can possibly get at that price tag.
I love flying games in VR but I found this one to be frustrating. Seems that once in the VR cockpit my head tended to be outside of the play area frequently. I had to scrunch my neck down to keep my head in the VR cockpit. Recentering my position on the controller did not seem to resolve the issue.
A great return
I’m currently on the second mission within the campaign mode and so far I’m impressed. A couple of gripes I have though are the double vision like lines around words and the map during briefings in both regular campaign and VR especially VR it adds additional eye strain.
The story was a good enough place holder. I’m here to fly. This is an arcade style game, so don’t expect complete realism. I have a blast playing this game. This game is the only reason I turn on my PS4. The jet models look awesome, environment looks believable and it is very immersive.
Game mission design is somewhat flawed
Game graphic is marvelous. But the missions are little repetitive, what bothers more is after you finish all the missions you can only unlock one third of the airplane tech tree. Which means to unlock all airplane you have to play mission three times or so.
