Exactly as expected
It’s a great device. If you’re like me and don’t like sitting at a desk to play games, or want to play during power outages. This is ideal. Buy an SD card and you’re good to go. Steam constantly has sales so you’re able to get games at a decent price. The interface is great, it can run even graphically demanding games. It comes with a power adaptor and additional adaptor so that it can fit South African wall outlets. It comes with a carrying case as well.
No regret at the time
I've had this for about a year now and have had no issues. I've taking it apart, replaced the fan, messed around with software and the works. This is a fully satisfying mini computer and I couldn't be happier with it. A few things are difficult to do with the operating system but there is a whole community of deck users that have some work arounds. Any issues I may have encountered are due to software finicky things that all deck users have experienced.
steam deck
great product for games that work on it. I've been playing kakarot on it just to see how well it works and I have no regrets. However its alittle pricey so its better to wait for one of those deals where its slightly cheaper. the battery drains alittle quicker than I anticipated but overall a must buy if you sometimes don't want to game on pc for some games. Buy it along with the 512sd to avoid space issue later
Amazing device for tinkerers
This device has an arch linux (steamOS) installed - if you are used to working on linux machines this product is for you. I'd recommend it for games such as new world, world of warcraft and even cyberpunk. If you want a perfectly well rounded system and is not willing to tinker yourself, I would not recommend this device. But if you are ok with tinkering, put a 1TB/2TB ssd in, and enjoy most of your steam library (games with easyanticheat may not work).
Best Portable Console on the market
Excellent, customisable and downright fun to use, especially in clearing out one’s Steam games and older games. Can’t beat it! Upgrade your own SSD for max usage!
