Knocked it Off the Table Only Once
In FM mode this radio works great indoors. The sound has a little less bass than I prefer, but it is still good. There is no static while searching for stations and the tuning knob is perfectly placed. AM reception is a little more problematic, but I rarely use the AM band. My only problem is being aware of where the extended FM antenna is positioned, I have knocked it off my dresser once and knocked it over a couple more times, it still works fine.
This Portable Panasonic AM/FM battery operated radio is perfect in every way. I live in a rural area - the tuner is very exact and a light illuminates as tuned in. the sound quality is very good as is the volume control. The carrying handle makes this radio very portable and practical and sturdy.
Mom is loving it
Mom's old "boom box" finally wore out. All she had used it for was the radio, so this is a great replacement. She has had it a week and is enjoying her favorite local FM station again. She likes that is is simple to use and the sound quality is just fine. She also likes that it doesn't take up much room from her limited counter top space.
I read a lot of reviews about this radio before I bought it. Some said it did work good in a metal building and others said it did not. IT DOES NOT!! I bought it to use in my grooming shop and quite frankly, it does not pick up a signal very well and if it does, it doesn't seem able to maintain that signal. I was really disappointed with it.
Simplicity is King
This radio performs well, sounds good, and is easy to operate with batteries or AC/DC. It is easily operated intuitively, with no complicated procedures. For those who like to simplify life where complexity is unnecessary. Highly recommended for what it is.
