Sharing my love of Airfryer with others
I don't often write reviews but this one is actually long over due. I purchased Airfryer for myself and started using right away. First, I used it to make frozen fries. Perfect! Since then I've tried frozen pizza, corn on the cob, salmon, Orka and many other dishes. I like using my Airfryer to reheat food, don't dryout...especially leftover takeout food. I'm sold on this product and can't keep quiet about it.
I was very disappointed to read in the instruction manual that I should use frozen, pre-prepared fries in the AirFryer. This is certainly not what I expected.
I followed the instructions for home-made fries and they were OK.
I have not tried cooking anything else yet, so I can't really recommend it. I was surprised how big it is - it takes up a lot of space and I don't have a convenient place to keep it.
I love it!
still needs a little oil, make sure you spray a light coating of oil on the food you are frying, this makes it fry better and taste better. Do not put a lot of oil, just enough to lightly coat the food.
The value vs the result is hard to beat. I got this unit, a bristle brush dish cleaner, and parchement paper. I cut squares to put foods that tend to drip and even though you have to turn the food halfway, it’s just as good and you can go 5-7 uses before soaking/ cleaning the basket and base. After a few articles on tips and tricks, I was making awesome foods, including burnt end ribs, stuffed mushrooms and even crispy kale.
On the job training
I like how the fryer cooks, however, the recipe book that came with it is VERY small and limited so using the fryer is more trial and error than "easy as pie". The advertisement leads you to believe NO oil is necessary to "fry", that also is not true, however, the amount of oil you use is minimal. For the steep price I expected more detailed user information. I found out foods tend to stick to the basket so I now use a product like Pam to keep this to a minimum.
