It's great to have 32 cores in Blender, Unreal Engine etc... This CPU is a bit like having a 'badass' friend who you can always count on to solve problems. I'm really pleased!

Make sure you cool this thing well, the like to run warm out of the box. That being said..My 2 year old Gigabyte Aorus B450 Elite with 64GB of 2667-DDR4 running a Ryzen 7 2700 (8-core 16-thread) assembled genomes at 50% of the speed using the number cores against my Gigabyte Aorus X570 Pro Wi-Fi with 64GB DDR4 3600 running a Ryzen 9 5950x (16-cores 32-threads).

I received the processor and mounted it on an ASUS CROSSHAIR VIII IMPACT motherboard. I installed a custom EKWB watercooling in my micro ATX case. Idle: 35°c Load: average 55°c (peak at 65°c). The processor can handle anything without plugging in, I mainly bought this one for gaming.

It’s a beast. Watch your PCIe settings in BIOS though. On initial AMD 5,000 series installs, I’ve been getting the VGA light. (X570 & B550 boards). This has happened to me a few times now. It’s only on new builds. The fix is to put the old cpu in and change the PCIe setting in BIOS. ANYWAY, the 5950x is awesome

Great processor, does its job as indicated on independent benchmark sites. However, beware of the heat, even with a big watercooling (Artic liquid II 360mm) and conductonaut, it tends to heat up a lot. It's a good idea to find out about this problem before you buy, but otherwise it's a great CPU.
