Home User
Bought three of these ADATA drives. Two 16's and a 64 GB. Installed a Linux MX-15 operating system on one of the 16GB drives. That is about as hard a workout as I can imagine using a stick drive for. Runs fast and never has heated up past just warm to touch. I carry it in one of those old plastic coin purses which were popular last century.
Snug fit but good.
I bought 2 of these based on price and that they are USB 3. They feel as they will be very rugged and durable on the outside. I give only 4 stars because it is a VERY snug fit into the USB port and that stylish VERY smooth finish also makes the drive a bit tricky to remove from the port with such a tight fit. My intended use is to load them with portable programs and recovery utilities and they should work well for that.Noticeably faster than my 2.0 flash drives.
Decent performance for price
I was not impressed with the fat32 formatting, copying to device speeds were peaking at around 2.5mbps, reformatted as ext2 and speeds are 24mbps copying to the drive and roughly 1gbps copying from the drive (a 2.3gb movie took 2 seconds to copy back to the computer on another hd) on usb 3.0 ports. There are faster drives out there but this one is decent enough to recommend.
Great design, if only it didn't fail after 1 day
Became completely unreadable after less than 1 day of use! Two stars only because the design is excellent. Too bad the flash memory inside isn't.
Very nice thumb drive!
As long as ADATA keeps making solid thumb drives like this, it's all I'll be using.
